Resources and Land grabbing stated in the Bible first.

Land is a resource which posses alot of other commodities including water
Deuteronomy the fifth book and last book of Moses which makes up the Torah
encorages the possession of land as a victory dominance
Land grab was justified by Yaweh in this book
Justification of wrongful acts or unfrighteousness is and was prevailant in this book also
Imagine if you were an ammonite
A cannanite your land belongs to gods favorite by hook or by crook
The old testament stories are riddled with war hatred violence. 
Such were encouraged as acts of righteousness to wage war take this possessions (as war spoils)
After God issues theten commandments
Even right after the given of the ten commandments god killed the Israelites who were worshipping a bull
Thou shall not kill. Guess these acts of unrighteousness was indicated for humans only including land as in the days of Joshua 
This seemed to be an ongoing justification
Land (women as in rape) were taken
God went before them in war and slay all or good number of the enemies
Simply because God promised their land to them as with Abraham
Today the justifications of falsehood and what was and is wrong continues.
People individuals and civilizations nations continues to loose their lives as individuals and as a community
One has to ask a hard question: if and who is really this God who claims and has favorites
Who doesn't seemed to be who it is

Land grabbing seems to exist even today yes!!! Even today, take a look at colonialism and wars today are over possession of land etc etc.

Most cultures ended up as tradition or the way of life in an area a region a continent and even a nation. Caused by economic demands Wars insecurities comforts or safety  It involves geographical developments and the spread of power and authority coupled with suppressions etc Cultures are formed and intertwined with the presence of a unified language Repetition through out generations and continued habits formed a way of life Invested in a family and it's extensions  Islands are an easy way of a strong cultural group due to its geographical make up where it's at and address in this world Cultures of today are a depiction of generational after generational and on going repetion and reverend to a life style.
